About me

I was born and raised in Delhi, India, in a normal, regular family and travel for me during my growing up years was the annual summer trip to the hills, with a big bunch of my parents’ family and friends. I don’t really recall too many details of these trips (it seems like such a long time back) or if I loved any of them specifically, but I presume I enjoyed them. As I grew up, I sort of craved to study and then work outside of my home city, I can’t say if this was a specific urge to travel, but I grew curious enough to explore life beyond what I had always seen.

I started travelling while in college, mostly within India and enjoyed these experiences tremendously. Of course, the fact that this was college and friends and the time in life to be kinda crazy had a lot to do with it as well. Life moved on, I had a job, a relationship and travel increasingly became a bigger part of my life each year. It helped of course, that my then-boyfriend, now-husband, also loved to travel and eat and we found ourselves investing a significant portion of money in seeing new places.

This blog started with no purpose, to be honest. We were in Kerala, and I was in love with it. I had this strong itch to start writing. I was passionate about travel. Internet and blogging platforms made it seem realistic. And easy (it isn’t). And I decided to go for it.

Fast forward to 2016. It has been more than 2 years since I started this blog. And despite the effort that goes into creating each post, I can say that I still find it deeply satisfying. I am happy with my (modest) bunch of readers. I write since I travel, not the other way around. And I am happy to keep it that way 🙂

Currently, I am working/living in Amsterdam. This is a story for another time 🙂

Hope you like my stories. And if you do, follow/comment since I would love to hear from you. You can also reach me at thetravelbugbitesagain@gmail.com.
